As part of our ongoing commitment to help create healthy and safe workplaces in New Brunswick, WorkSafeNB is developing a prevention strategy for the garage (auto repair) industry. We are concerned about the number and severity of injuries, including fatalities, in this industry.
WorkSafeNB hosted consultation meetings throughout the province in September to help find practical solutions for the strategy.
About 75 attendees, including auto repair employers, supervisors, technicians, instructors and health and safety representatives, were asked to provide feedback on possible safety improvements.
