As part of its ongoing commitment to help employers create healthy and safe work environments for New Brunswickers, WorkSafeNB has hired seven additional health and safety officers. This means increased prevention activities, expanded educational resources and more presence and support for New Brunswick employers.
Beginning in January, WorkSafeNB health and safety officers will visit employers in high-risk industries that haven’t had an inspection in the last five years.
In spring 2016, health and safety officers will visit residential construction worksites and businesses that operate beyond the typical nine-to-five workday.
Inspections will address such topics as orientation, incident reporting, health and safety committees and first aid.
