As General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Lee C. Bell-Smith, K.C., provides expert legal advice across the organization and acts as a key liaison between the Executive Leadership Team and the board of directors. He oversees corporate and commercial legal matters, commercial contracting, regulatory compliance, and risk management, helping guide WorkSafeNB’s strategic operations.
Lee brings a wealth of experience to WorkSafeNB. His career spans key roles, including Deputy Attorney General for the Province of New Brunswick, corporate counsel for a global food company, and partner at Stewart McKelvey, one of Canada’s largest law firms.
Lee also has a passion for education, having taught commercial law as a part-time faculty member at UNB Law School.
Lee lives in Quispamsis with his wife and daughter.
