Jason Green was appointed to WorkSafeNB’s board of directors to represent employers for a five-year term, effective October 19, 2023.
As vice-president, Labour Relations at J.D. Irving, Limited since 2015, Jason has valuable and relevant experience in labour relations, policy, human resources, and employment law. In his role at J.D.I, Jason manages labour relations across 28 collective agreements for 5,000 unionized workers and handles non-union employment law matters for approximately 13,000 employees.
Jason is a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick and the Nova Scotia Barristers Society and is an employer representative with the Federally Regulated Employers Transportation and Communications ("FETCO").
Jason holds a bachelor's degree from Mount Allison University, a law degree from Dalhousie University and an MBA from Western University’s Ivey School of Business. He also holds a designation as a Certified Human Resources Professional, as well as certificates in workplace investigations (advanced) and Prosci change management.
Originally from Halifax and after 14 years in Toronto, Jason now lives in Quispamsis with his wife Colette and their four children.
