Haley Flaro serves as vice-chairperson for WorkSafeNB's board of directors.
Born in Montreal and raised in Glengarry County, Ont., she has served as the executive director of Ability New Brunswick since 2006. A sociology graduate from the University of New Brunswick, she has 15 years of leadership experience in the non-profit/community-based sector, specifically health and disability organizations.
Flaro believes in community development and person-centred planning to ensure people can be as independent as possible and fully participate in our communities. She has extensive experience in governance and administration, program development and evaluation, and a passion for social policy. She also serves on several government committees and boards related to poverty, employment, health and disability.
She lives with her husband, Brad, and their two pugs, Clancy and Gracie, in Fredericton.
