Gaëtan Guérette was appointed to the board as an employer representative on January 25, 2024 for a five-year term. This is his second board appointment, having previously served from 2017 to 2022.
Guérette has worked in leadership roles all his professional life, with a focus on occupational health and safety since 2004. He has a long list of OHS credentials to his name, including certification as a construction safety co-ordinator by the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association. Since 2014, he has been self-employed as a health and safety consultant.
Guérette holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with specialties in management and marketing from the Université de Moncton. He also holds a bachelor of arts with specializations in psychology and history from the Centre Universitaire Saint-Louis-Maillet.
In addition to his passion for workplace health and safety, Guérette is actively involved in his hometown of Edmundston, having served on city council for nine years.
