News Release Our commitment to service during COVID-19

March 18, 2020

WorkSafeNB is committed to doing our part to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 (coronavirus). We are actively monitoring the situation to determine how to best support workers and employers around the province while balancing the health and safety of our own employees and clients.

Are WorkSafeNB employees still working?

On March 16, the provincial government announced that, based upon recommendations by the chief medical officer of health, all non-essential government services were to shut down on Tuesday, March 17, until further notice. Based upon this recommendation, WorkSafeNB employees who work in critical functions or areas that support critical functions will remain on the job. They may work on site or from home, depending on the nature of the job. We have asked our non-essential employees continue working from home, where appropriate.

Are WorkSafeNB offices open?

As a precaution, the WorkSafeNB offices are currently not open to visitors, but our commitment to service excellence remains. You can reach us by phone at 1 800 999-9775 or by email through our secure MyServices system. Set up a MyServices account for easy access online.

Will benefit payments be interrupted due to these changes?

Benefit payments to injured workers will continue as scheduled. Workers can access important claim information and inquire about their claim using MyServices.  We encourage you to sign up for direct deposit for increased convenience.

Is WorkSafeNB still treating clients at the WorkSafeNB Rehabilitation Centre?

Last week, we took extra precaution to keep our clients and employees safe by pausing face-to-face treatment at our rehabilitation centre for the next two weeks. While treatment at the facility has been paused, we will continue to provide service through telephone, online and virtual consultations, and, where appropriate, encourage clients to continue physiotherapy exercises at home.

How can I send information to WorkSafeNB regarding to my file?

You can send us information through our secure MyServices system. If you do not have email access, you can send us information by mail or by fax to 1-888-629-4722.

My question isn’t answered here. Where can I go for more information?

WorkSafeNB’s website is the best place to find up-to-date relevant information. If you are looking for more information on COVID-19, we have launched a landing page for workers and employers. If you are still having trouble finding what you need, please call 1 800 999-9775.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all deal with this unprecedented situation to the best of our abilities.
